Colonel Gaddafi has written a rambling letter to Barack Obama calling on him to end 'an unjust war' on Libya. The three-page missive, littered with spelling mistakes and grammatical errors, proclaims Mr Obama as man enough to 'annul a wrong and mistaken action'.
Addressing the U.S. president variously as 'our son' and 'excellency' - and calling him Baraka Hussein Abu oumama - Gaddfi also wishes him luck for his next election campaign.
Despite claiming that Libya had been hurt more 'morally' than 'physically' by the NATO-backed campaign, Gaddafi called on Obama to end the war against 'a small people of a developing country.'
Bizarrely, in a seeming denial of the country's current rebellion, the letter is signed 'Mu'aumer Qaddaffi, Leader of the Revolution.'
The letter, composed in formal but stilted English, states: 'Our dear son, Excellency, Baraka Hussein Abu oumama, your intervention is the name of the U.S.A. is a must, so that Nato (NATO) would withdraw finally from the Libyan affair.
'Libya should be left to Libyans within the African union frame.'
A later section says the NATO action should be called off in the interests of 'serving world peace ... Friendship between our peoples ... and for the sake of economic, and security cooperation against terror. Read More
