SYRIA: 200 DIE IN PROTESTS AS MEDICAL TREATMENT IS DENIED - 12th Apr 2011
(AGI) Damascus - A Syrian human rights group reports that 200 people have died in protests against the regime of Bashar al-Assad. The figure was given by the Damascus Declaration group, one of the country's leading human rights organisations.
Meanwhile, Human Rights Watch (HRW) accused Syrian security forces in Deraa and Harasta, of impeding medical assistance to the injured, behaviour that HRW defined as 'inhuman and illegal'. Source
