A line of thunderstorms moved through North and northeast Texas on Tuesday. Widespread hail was reported in the counties north and northeast of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, but there were no damage reports.
Widespread vivid lightning was causing concern of spreading wildfires, but there were no immediate reports of fires.
Residents in Ashdown, AR. report baseball size hail, while in Little Rock emergency management officials said a tree crashed down on an occupied home in central Arkansas, but the family made it out unharmed.
Entergy Arkansas, the state's largest utility, said the storm left more than 37,000 people without power. The National Weather Service said storm spotters have reported three possible tornadoes in Arkansas as the system moved through the state. No serious injuries have been reported as of Wednesday morning.
