Is Puerto Rico the next Japan? Caribbean tsunami activity -- backed by NOAA and UNESCO -- threatens entire US East coast
(Poster note: While the video suggests that there has been significant quake activity near Puerto Rico to the tune of 300 quakes in the span of a week, we have not been able to verify this claim through any of our seismic monitoring resources -- if anyone could point us to such information, we'd be grateful and will update accordingly)
NOAA Study link: "The Puerto Rico Trench: Implications for Plate Tectonics and Earthquake and Tsunami Hazards"
UNESCO PDF for "Caribe Wave 11 / LANTEX11 Caribbean Tsunami Warning Exercise"
(Poster note: Interestingly, the exercise to the above study took place on March 23, 2011 -- a mere 12 days following the Japanese quake and tsunami)
Is there more going on with the world's seismic activity than we're being told about? Stay observant. (This post was reader contributed)
