Bulger killer No2 goes abroad on lads' holiday - 6th Apr 2011

JAMES Bulger's killer Robert Thompson went on an unsupervised foreign holiday - just like his cohort Jon Venables.

Thompson used his phoney new ID on his passport for a secret "lads' trip" to Europe.

Thompson, who was ten when he and Venables murdered two-year-old James, headed to Europe on the jaunt even though he was meant to be strictly monitored under terms of his parole.

The bombshell follows uproar at the revelation that his fellow killer - now back in jail for having child porn - won official permission to go clubbing in Norway.

Like Venables, Thompson used the passport he was given bearing his secret new name as authorities bent over backwards to give the pair a new life.

Chums on the trip had no idea who he really was.

James Bulger's mum was livid last night after The Sun uncovered details of the jaunt.
